NHTSA Releases Latest List of RV Recalls 11/05/2019

The following is the latest RV recall list compiled by the National Highway Safety Association (NHTSA). Click here for more information and to check your RV VIN number.

Ford Motor Co, is recalling 293,558 2015-2017 Transit vehicles. This recall includes all full-size Transit vehicles previously recalled under 17V-408 except ones that received mechanical universal joint (u-joint) as a remedy and any 156-inch or 178-inch wheelbase chassis cab and cut-away bodies models. The flexible coupling connecting the transmission to the driveshaft may prematurely fail.

Jayco Inc. is recalling 908 2017 Pinnacle fifth-wheel trailers. The suspension system may fail.

Airstream Inc. is recalling 151 2019-2020 Atlas motorhomes. The SH1 breaker terminal may be wired incorrectly, causing some of the 12V circuits to have insufficient overcurrent protection.

Forest River Inc. is recalling 44 2020 Shasta Oasis SST30QB and SST31OK trailers. The trailers may have been built with an incorrect length axle hanger, allowing the axle to contact the chassis while moving.

Forest River Inc. is recalling six 2020 Sunseeker SSC2250SLEC, Freelander FLC26RSC, and Leprechaun LPC240FSC vehicles. The seatbelt-unfastened warning light will not illuminate for approximately five seconds after the ignition is moved to the “on” or “start” position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”
